We are from Group 8, 2E.
Our Problem:
Are people aware that different races are not allowed to share utensils?
Example: Malay and Chinese
Here are some evidence that was caught on pictures.
My friend, named Abigail.
She felt hungry during recess, and bought 1 plate of food from the chinese stall, and the other from the malay stall. She didn't know that different races are not allowed to share utensils. Therefore, she did this.
She used the chinese stall food's utensils and attempt to eat the malay stall food.

Our question to you readers is,
-are people aware that different races are not allowed to share utensils? Explain.
-how should we promote such awareness? Why.
Obviously they are not aware of it.They wouldn't care either.I did told my friends that the utensils are not allow to be shared with different races but they didn't care and continued with what they were doing. They just would care.

im not very sure of this as im a chinese i do know a very limited info about malay religion
ReplyDeleteI'm aware that different races are not allowed to share utensils while eating. It is because, there was a time when I was eating with 2 malay friends, 1 indian friend, and also 1 chinese friend. I wanted to try the malay and indian food that my friends was eating, so I took my chinese food's utensils to try to take some and eat. But was stop by 1 of my malay friends, she told me that, I'm not suppose to use the chinese utensils as it is not halal. After that, I even went online to check why we can't share utensils. I understood more why other races can't share utensils, and is aware about it now.
ReplyDeleteI think promoting it through the blog is a good way, another promoting such awareness through food or even advertisement can be done too.
Good job, good luck.
Wow, i passed by this blog, and saw this. and was amazed about it.
ReplyDeletei didn't know other races are not allowed to share utensils till i come across this blog!
hmmm, i just went online, and come across an article that the malays sue chinese for sharing utensils. is there such article? im not sure, but, im now aware about it, and will tell my friends.
promoting such awareness through blog, advertisement, drama, debating, role play would be cool. as maybe many other people will know?
i think that people are aware of this problem but most wouldn't care about this things. i guess as they did not take these kinds of things seriously.
ReplyDeletei think by giving speeches, lectures about what one should do or not do to different races. this is also could reduce the number of misunderstandings between races.
i am aware that there is such a problem going on but i have no idea how to tell people it is wrong. im scared that they might get offended.
ReplyDeletepromoting through blog is a good idea as nowdays people communicate through blogs(:
